1952 Fender Bassman TV Front Tweed 1x15 Vintage Tube Amp w/ Jensen P15N, Early Production | Reverb

I know, I know: probably quite gutless & woefully inadequate for bass guitar.

And yet, I want it.

2 knobs, schematic glued to the inner wall... what's freakin' cooler than that!

I can think of one (and only one) application for which this amp would excel: keeping up with my guitarist buddy who always shows up with way cooler tube gear than mine. (A '50s Champ or a '30s Gibson that looks like a radio.)

I can certainly think of worse ways to blow $5000.

Years ago I owned #0051. Had it recovered by Sam Hutton, former Fender cabinet shop employee. Certainly didn't get loud but didn't sound too bad either.

Very cool! I would love to have that amp in my studio, for GUITARS! If it was the last one in existence it would belong in a museum but I hope it ends up with someone who actually uses it, rather than some stinking rich collector.

I would personally never pay that much though and I would never, EVER plug a bass into it!
