The huge a** metal knobs that come with the MK1 preamp, they weigh 1+oz per.
I know this is an old thread, but I finally got some decent clips of the Dual Coils with various coil and pick up pan options.
All Recordings are :
Lakland 55-01 Rosewood board
Nordstrand Dual Coils wound Parallel
Bart NTMB-L (set-flat)
TI Super Alloy Strings(cleaned but not new)
Played with a pick (sorry, it's my weapon of choice on this bass)
UA Solo 610 DI, Digi 002, Protools, no processing, tweaking, just straight in.

I think these clip sound great, but could you tell us exactly hat settings you used for each of these? I especially like the thick tone on the last one.
I think
AM-Parallel, blend, flat, finger style
Listen-Parallel, blend, flat, pick style
Only one- Series, Bridge, bass boost, treble cut, finger style
Resurrection!
So I'm about to purchase one of those 55-01 basses. All you's guys still have your Nordy-modded 55-01's and play them out? Or did the honeymoon phase prove too powerful?
