6 string bass

I have only been playing bass for a year but after i saw anthony jackson play his 6 string...i loved it

I was wondering if its too early for me to play a 6 string or if its just dumb to play a 6 string in the first place.... please tell me.

Every1 should have a 6 string and its never to soon to get one. i started with 6-strings cuz they were the most versatile thing i could find (7-strings are too expensive). If u like tapping and playing complex shredding lines or melodies, 6 strings suits u perfectly.
