I'm gonna soon step up to a six string what's are some decent but not horribly expensive basses to look at. I've had my eye on a Spector legend but i want to see what everyone plays
I just picked up a Yamaha TRB 1006 and love it. Also check the Peavey Cirrus, Schecter Diamond Elite and Ibanez BTB series (great basses at a good price). If your budget is really tight check out a Brice as a nice start into the world of six string.
I play a Carl Thompson 5 string and have played a 6 string. I have a 6 string on order with Carl Thompson right now. They are so light and a dream to play. Just very expensive. Li is too short to play bad instruments...........
The Carvins are good basses. You can usually find them gently used for extremely reasonable prices or get one built to your specs for a bit more. I've endorsed these basses for over 18 years and really do use them in every work situation.
my first 6 was an ibanez SR506 which has a great comfy neck and felt pretty good........this is coming from a dedicated warwick player that is currently having a love affair with a stingray! Haha
