I have owned many pre CBS Fender basses but I don't need to get into the whole divorce thing
So I purchased a 62 Re Issue from E Bay a while ago and I was quite happy with the bass. I was fussy in trying to keep the bass as pristine as possible.Well I was putting the bass on when the strap at the tail popped off and it hit the ceramic floor.Damn! I said here comes a dent.Well surprize suprize. The paint had exploded and there was an approximate 3"dia chip. Now I know it is a Nito Cellulose finish but the poly undercoat is scary
Plastics! So if you want to strip one of these babies? All you do is drop it or start a small chip and you can probably strip it bare and not pay someone to do it.Then get a good paint job.The xtra weight on this bass is quite alot with the added Plastcs! Well food for thought
