6er advice

Hey just thought id put up a quick post to ask if anyone has any recomendations for a cheap 6 string.

Im just looking for a list of basses to try and source so i can try them out and make my own final decision etc. Unfortunetly the guitar market in Ireland isnt very strong so its not easy to just go into a guitar shop and try one out.

Anyway if you know any good 6ers preferably under €450 but i can go up to €650 if needs be. I know its kind of a stiff order to fill. Thanks anyway

Just to clear up,Brice are essentially sx's yeah, i have one of them somewhere. Nice basses, especially for the price. Might be sidetracking my own post here but does anyone know if you can get a cort curbow in a 6

Brice are SX's higher line, but come from the same factory as Shine, even have some models the same as each other.

Cort don't make a 6er Curbow, anymore, they used to, I was tring to get one recently, but no dice.:atoz:

If anybody is wanting to buy a Cort Curbow 6, there's a guy on the Sputnik Music Forums who is trying to sell his. I don't know what he's asking for it, but I'd be more than happy to put you in contact with him.

I'm also selling/trading a Carvin LB76 and an Aria Pro II Avante.

/shameless plug.

That being said, I really enjoyed the time I spent playing a Spector Legend Classic 6. Very comfortable basses all around.

Another vote for the Soundgear. I've had my Soundgear 6 since '94 or so, and it sounds great live or in the studio. Mind you, it's heavier than they make them nowadays. I remember lugging my Soundgear 10 miles uphill both ways through 12 feet of snow to get to gigs and back. So yeah, I've had mine a while and I still love it.
