72 Jazz bass body. What's it worth?

Hey all. I've located a 72 jazz bass for sale in Japan. Here's what I know about it.

Body is original as are the electronics and bridge. At some point in time someone has changed the control knobs to chrome ones . The neck as far as I can tell is not an original fender but the tunings pegs are from the original neck that came with the bass.

Basically someone has done a "jaco" on it and turned it into a lined fretless jazz bass. Changed the neck but kept the tuners.

It has the original case.

It's sunburst with the pick guard removed. It has a lot of players wear and mojo but nothing major.

The owner is looking for an offer on it. I'm no expert on vintage fenders and have no idea what would be a reasonable price to offer.

I don't want to pay over what would be considered an average market value. I know these things are subjective and it's up to the buyer as to how much he thinks it's worth to him, but any input would help me out with a decision.

here are some pics of the actual bass in japan
