75P, ORIGINAL CASE

???
This came with a standard 75P, nothing special(unless 13lb. Disco machine was a special model at the time).
The color seems off, sort of a cranberry, less orange. It also has two neck support braces which doesn't seem right. Latches are Cheney, England and the strap pocket pull tab is a brown gator-skin nalga. The only way I'd want to hold on to this case is if it were the original, I'm doubting it is.
Second question: any ideas if this is just a generic case, or does it ring a bell to anybody? When I bought the bass(from a store), the salesman said he thought is was a MM case possibly.

Thanks!

(Mods, feel free to move this....)

The outside looks right except for the Fender logo, the inside does not however look period correct.

G&G was making cases for many back then. As far as Fender, the orange interior was correct up through mid 70's, and changed to the dark red interior was used during the late 70's.
Musicman was using mostly orange and sometimes blue interiors. I haven't seen a preEB with dark red case.

The 2nd neck brace is something I haven't seen before.

No pics, no 13lb. disco machine...
Not very good pics, but here ya go:

Sunburst over Ash, Maple "A" neck(WAY too narrow!!). Since it came with oval/egg head tuners that aren't super smooth, as well as looking odd on a 70's bass I replaced them with new Fender replacements. Considering that, and the fact that I bought it with a brass nut I'll probably look for an old school BA bridge at some point. It's a player.

That case looks alot like a G&L case I have from the mid-80's era. Without pulling my case out, I would say that's what that is.

Dude!...

You appear to be 100% correct! Within a few minutes of looking I found an 80's G&L w/ case for sale on CL, the case pictured was exact. I could tell instantly because of that strange color inside. I really appreciate the help because I'm hoping to get this into the hands of someone with an appropriate G&L, that's the right place for it.
Thanks again!
