'78 P Bass PUs

Doing a bit of an overhaul of my bass. The PUs are a bit loose on the mounting screws (up/down), what keeps them from moving - is it foam under the PU and will it have disintegrated on a bass of this age? They're not too loose, but move on the bass side where i rest my thumb

Just stick some new foam under the pickups. Easy fix.

Thanks, I'll get some under there. I'll have to use new PU screws aswell - the old ones have a bit too much 'mojo' to them!!!!
