I've had the opportunity to play a Hamer 12 string, which I thought sounded amazing, though it took a fair bit of concentration to fret the 3 strings well, which would probably resolve with time.

I'd certainly be interested in owning an 8 or a 12, but the limiting factor would be that the overall use would be quite low compared to a single course bass.

Does anyone play one of these? I have a Warwick and a Hagstrom (retro look version) which I use from time to time in the Church Music Group I play in. I just wondered who else liked the format.
So you have two 8-strings? That's cool! I had two for a while but ultimately couldn't justify it - I have owned three total over the past 20+ years. Would love to see pics of your Warwick!

I was psyched to see Steve Moore play a new Hagstrom with Zombi in 2022.
