I also liked the bass tone on that track. Do you remember your L2K settings?

Always 2 pickups dual coil mode = proto Ken Smith tone .
bass 70%, treble 100%, back switch on middle (not high boost, not passive, just active)

I'm relatively new to these basses and haven't done much gigging with them. i just notice that the single coil mode seems to be overly sensitive to my playing and sometimes i get that crazy distortion if i hit too hard so i tend to stay away from OMG setting.
