Hello all, I know that there has been a post on ERBS before, but I was wondering what luthiers build specifically 9 string basses. I am hoping to find one at a reasonable price that will not cost me an arm and a leg. Also, please no ERB hate here, everyone is interested in different instruments and sounds.

No hate for sure! ERBS rule! :p I'm not really sure when it comes to price, since those kind of basses have a big pricetag, but I can recommend Conklin, Warrior, Adamovic and Benavente.

Those last two are expensive for sure, around 3.5k - 5k for the kind of bass you are looking for.

Maybe you can find a used 9 stringer on the web..
