I recently released a solo bass album (my 4th) that I'd like to share with you: Muldværk 2. Ten short tracks of healthy bass! No "compositions", as such, were attempted - it was more a matter of displaying various grooves and moods. I would love to hear what you fellow bassers think of it: Muldværk 2
It's a "solo" album in the sense that I'm the only person playing on it, and I'm using a sub-short scale bass (24" 6-string Fingy bass, by MihaDo Guitar Studios) for all non-percussion instrumental sounds. There is low-end, piccolo-range runs and loads of glitchy artifacts. Basically, it's "niche within a niche" music!
The tracks are generally built around ambient recordings of, e.g., a busy shopping mall, a running washing machine and my (long late) great grandfather telling tall tales of his childhood, cirka 1907, etc.
Here is a video sampler teasing all ten tracks:
I've also posted the video of my great grandfather (speaking in a Danish dialect) made from ripped VHS footage:
