A fuzz\synth distortion that doesn't get lost in the mix?

I assume you have already tried this- but instead of keeping the start stop freq's at max- try sliding them up and down together to hone in on the frequencies that cut through better. Also talk to your other band members about how they're eq'ing their amps and distortion. Mid scooped guitars and mid boosted basses can help
