Double Bass A new speaker box

The box I have for my slab rig is outright ugly. But, it has a nice 15" EAW speaker in it. I would like to add a 2 or 4 10" cabinet to the rig, but this box wouldn't stack with it at all. It's too small and irregularly shaped for another box to go on top, and it has wheels, so it can't go on top of another box, not that I would want my 15" over my 10" cabinet.

Bottom line, is there a place that sells empty bass cabinets? I would like a professional looking one too, as a beat-up rig is much less professional looking. I'm thinking of the Hartke 10" aluminum, whether it be 2 or 4, and I would like my new Hartke cab to be able to sit well with my 15" cabinet.

Building a cabinet isn't to hard if you have:
1) table saw
2) glue and nails, preferably air nailer
3) jig saw
4) drill
5) paint
6) soldering iron
7) but most importantly, software to design a cabinet

What did I forget?????????

With all this said, I've built cabinets and now think it is much wiser to buy something that has already been engineered and proven.

The Hartke cabs aren't too bad in my experience.

Actually, the speaker was given to me from a friend whose EAW 2x15 cabinet had a blown speaker, and would have been too costly to fix. He took the working speaker out to save for a rainy day.

I have a Hughes and Kettner cab, though I don't know if it's a cabinet the company made, or if it was made in someone's backyard. It was given to me with a VERY poor speaker in it, but this is all I really had. My friend gave me his EAW speaker, and that's what I replaced it with. It sounds real good, but the box is really poor quality and too small. It also had this double space rack built right on to the top. It would be nice if I had a double space head, but I use a 50 lb. power amp that sticks out in the back about four inches, and a BBE 383. I'm better off putting the amps in a rack box and saving myself extra added weight of the speaker box.

I got a suggestion for Lopo, which the carpeted 115 bass cab looks real good. I'm also thinking about looking in shops for maybe a professional 115 cab with a bad speaker that the shop will let go for a low price.

So you have a 15" driver you want to design and build a cabinet for? Francis is your man.
