Currently, I have an Avatar B212 Neo. It's my backup cab that doesn't get much use because my go- to is my Aguilar. I was thinking about getting a 1x12 for more portability.
Then I thought about making things interesting... And that's where I need help.

I'd like to rob that cab of its speakers and make some 1x12s.
But I'm not a carpenter and have no tools to build cabinets.
Plus, I know you need a certain size box.

Where might I find something for a project like this?

To use the drivers from the 2x12 in a 1x12 design:

Build a box with half the internal volume of the 2x12.

Keep the port length the same.

Cut the frontal area of the port in half, preferably by cutting the longest dimension in half.

As for coming up with the tools etc., that might be tricky. You could see if any of the "cut kits" for fEARful cabs have close to the dimensions that you need.
