I just snapped my G string after I tuned down a 4th and tuned back up (I learnt my lesson), and I've had the set of strings (my first new strings) for 20-ish days.
So, do I get new strings and replace all of them and set aside the "old" ones for spares (Which I am more inclined to do, but I'm considering getting the same strings again, so maybe take that into consideration when answering), or do I just add the G-string for now?
My current make-do is to use my old G-string. But the problem with that is that it's a .45 and the rest of my strings were .50s. It's awkward to play.
