Why was I under the impression that you own or have owned a fretless JS-2 ?

I did pick up on a Guild fretless "husk", relatively cheaply, to check out(as fretless is a different animal)if it would be workable. Left in the case as a project, it took me a while to aquire all the proper parts. The ergonomics of the short scale JS basses are a bit different, a vast improvement on the EB concept, it feels more like a full scale(and I'd love to find an actual 34" JS-II, but they're rare and expensive). It's more of a novelty, and it would go out the door if I really needed some quick cash flow.

Heh. While I wouldn't agree that the ergonomics are better on the JS series - and yes I own one of these as well - if I were still residing in the States I'd likely be sending you a PM to take that fretless JS from you.

There's a long scale JS-2 on Verb right now if you're in the haggling mood since it's been sitting there for quite a while at $1400...
