A stupid question....

How do you guys place your bass on the bathroom scale so it can get a balance and wont fall???
I tried to weigh my bass yesterday, but it just can sit balanced on it

You could just stand it up on the scale with your hand loosely cupped around the side of the headstock to keep it from falling. Or do what OP suggests. I've done both and gotten the same results on my digital scale.

Try a fish scale. They usually have a hook, to hang (normally, fish) from.

Put a stand on the scale. Adjust it to 0. Place bass on the stand.
