Hi, I recently bought an Ibanez SR655 and I’m looking for the right pickups for my play style of this kind of genre:
The Nordstrand pickups are quite aggressive sounding on the bass and I understand that EQ’ng from the amp goes a long way to get the sound that I want but even when I do set the right levels on my amp, I still get the characteristics from the Nordstrands cutting through aggressively.
I am caught choosing between Aguilar and Bartolinis (or any other suggested pickups that I’m unaware of) which I have very little experience from both companies. Oh and the preamp on the Ibanez is fine (for now) and won’t be changing them out anytime soon.
