Aaron Bellamy

... loving his tone and groove on Sam Kininger's album "Anthem" ... growly, funky.

Would love to know what bass he uses. Can anyone ID either of these for me ?

Glad to see that someone's noticing Aaron! Easily one of the best players in the Boston area and a really friendly guy to boot!

I saw the entire photo album of the Volvo event in the 2nd photo you posted and that 5-string is a Ristola, I'm 100% sure of that. here's a better photo of the bass:

And a link to Ristola's site:

I first found out about Ristola thru a friend of mine who bought one off Nate Edgar(bassist for John Brown's Body) a few years ago.

If I bump into him again (and hopefully I will!) I'll ask him what the other bass is. He's got a MySpace, so if you're really interested about the 1st one you may want to try asking him there.

Hey Y'all, Bellamy here, Thanks for your interest and kind words. So yeah mostly I play that brian ristola seen in the pictures above, but for the Anthem sessions I used a godlyke dietey 4 string exept on def of fusion where I used a fretless godlyke dietey 5 string and on Deez nuts uI used the ristola
