? about Speakons

I have a question about speakon connectors. I just recently got a Crown XLS1500. Do you need a differently wired speakon to use bridge mono mode?

What is the difference in the connectors and how can you tell?

On the XTI, use +1 & +2 on channel 1 for bridged output.
That would mean moving the conductor from -1 to +2 on the amp end of the speaker cable. I would think that the XLS would use the same scheme.

Verified via the manual, the cable should be modified exactly this way. It's an easy change, just takes a small philips screwdriver.

Ok. So only on the amp end? So when you buy a premade speaker cable with Speakons it's usually wired +1/-1?

Correct. Are you going to be running in bridge all the time? If not, I would suggest separate cables. i would also suggest mark the end of the cable that has been modified somehow, because that end will always have to be at the Channel 1 out at the amp.
