Accidentally playing a different song

So I'm playing through Clapton's Wonderful Tonight, and right when I hit the little turnaround bit from the D to the G (D E F# A G) I notice something.

I stop. I play it again.

Hmm...

Maybe slower. No that isn't helping.

Okay, faster...and oh my goodness, I've been playing the hook from "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin.

I mean, I think that's actually how the Clapton song's bass part is supposed to go, but now I can never unhear it. I'm not playing the rest of the song straight, but then I go back and listen to how I've been playing it, and I think I have even more of that dang Berlin song in there.

Ha! somewhat germane, I realized that whenever I play Badfinger's "Baby Blue", four bars after the bridge starts I want to go into the chorus of "The Breakup Song" by Greg Kihn Band.

I was playing The Jam's "Start!" Then I realized that I was also playing "Taxman".

Somewhat different...

I was playing a "songs in a binder" show when the leader decided to skip a tune and play the next one. Only problem was he didn't let me know so I flipped the page in my binder, the drummer counted it off what I thought was rather fast for the tune but I began playing...the wrong tune. It took me about 6 bars to realize what happened. I new the next tune was in E so I pedaled the low E quietly while I flipped the page, recalibrated my brain and found my place.

Only the drummer noticed and had a good laugh.
