Acoustic 360 fuzz using a 1-button 1/4" footswitch

Hey guys,

Was just wondering: is it possible to wire-up an adapter that will take a 1-button footswitch that's run to a 1/4" jack to work with the 5-prong DIN-style input on the Acoustic 360 to actuate the fuzz?

In looking at the schematic (Invalid Link Removed), it only looks like pin 3 on the DIN plug is used on the fuzz circuit. Is that correct? And if so, I'd think it should be possible to do that with a 1/4" jack with no problem.

So: what do you guys think? And any recommendations on how to best wire this up?

Damn!! That fuzz is so nasty I don't even use it except to upset my bandmates! Every once in a while I see the foot switches come up on eBay. At the prices they go for I would think you could fab one up fairly cheaply if you have the skill.

I'd usually agree, banikek, but my "situation" has just changed:

I just made a deal for a second Acoustic 361. So now, I'll have two complete 361's, and can run the "dry and wet/dry" set-up that Jaco had.

So: distortion will be a MUST! =)

it looks to me like you want to use the switch to conect pin 3 to pin 1.
you could use a standard midi cable an wire it up to a foot switch.

Last time I looked, even Radio Shack had 5 pin DIN plugs. You could wire one to an old guitar 1/4" cable or a 1/4" to a Midi cable as suggested above.
