Hey guys, I'm looking at a Acoustic B200H 200W Bass Head and B115 250W 1x15 Bass Cab, and I couldn't find any reviews on either. Does anybody have anything to say about them? I would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks.

Acoustic Amps? (Please Help)

I got the exact same rig for my bass player last month.
I play out of an 82 Marshall JCM800 50 watter with a 4x12 and the 1x15 by itself isnt enough. Ive said it here before but you can feel the bass but you cant HEAR it. I do have the horn turned off though cause my bass player uses a Boss HM-2 for distortion and with the horn on its got this ugly high end crackle. Maybe mines got a bad horn in it but were buying another B115 tonight for a show this weekend in hopes itll keep up finally. Also since our room is packed full, the cab is sitting on the floor in front of my roommates bass rig, and my 4x12 is sitting on top of another 4x12 so it could be the level of the cabs. And yes were also only using the one 8ohm cab so were also not getting the full power out of it either.
Weve been practicing with it plugged into my roommates 4 ohm Goliath 4x10 (which is sitting on top of another 4x10 at the same level) and the B200H is so damn HEAVY its sick. We were playing the other night and when we would both hit the low E's (we tune down to A) it was so gnarly Sabbath wouldve been proud.

Acoustic has been around forever. Guitar Center bought the name and are manufacturing them as a house brand now. They are still good product. GC makes HUGE amounts of profit on them, so you might be able to beat them up on price a little bit
Thanks guys. I'm getting an Acoustic B200H head this weekend. I'll be getting their B410 4x10 cab hopefully before christmas if I have the money by then. I'll put some pics up when I get them.
i have the B115 and it works and sounds great. when i first got it i had trouble hearing my self over 2 150watt 2x12 combos but after some adjustments on my head (i had switched over form a 4x10) i found a great sound that cut through the mix like nothin.

I have the B200H head, and we play softer rock, kind of 80esque synth-pop and jangly stuff. I drive it through a GK Goldline 4X10, and it's very nice for I do. If I could characterize the sound it would be that it's very clean -- it reproduces the "naked" sound of your instrument very perfectly.
Of course, you can tweak the EQ picture to just about anything you want, but mine is fairly flat across the spectrum. I mainly got the head because the box looks indestructible -- as much as we play out, that is a deal-breaker for me.

I haven't actually heard it, of course, but I'd strongly suspect a cause-effect corrolation here.
I know this blog is old but i will give you my experience with acoustic.
I used an acoustic 370 with the 301 bottom back in the 70's and i covered every thing from rock to jazz and loved it's responce. I used a Ric 4003, witch I feel they were made for each other.
since then I toyed around with just about everything from traynor, peeveey, kustom, Gillian Kruger and most every thing else, well recently i went back to rocking heavy so I got a new ric and a G K and it was a nice amp but I decided to buy a B200H and give it a try. I love the no frills that acoustic has, if I need something fancy i'll get a foot switch. I started with the 410 bottom but it wasn't keeping up with the Marchall's
so I bought the 115 bottom and I put it on top, most people put the 15 on the bottom but i like it this way. Having two bottom brings it down to 4oms witch helps increase the power outage and I'm plenty happy. I run direct into the PA so I probably could have just put the amp on a stand but for the ridiculous low price of a 115 cab I had to have it. Now it looks cool, has plenty of punch, and with that ric! Well ther ain't nothing like a RIC Billy P
