Last night my teacher said that i should try out a acoustic guitar guitar pre-amp instead of a DB pre-amp has any body else tried this? Also im getting alot of finger noise with my bp100, is there anyway i can get rid of that?

Double Bass Acoustic Guitar pre-amp on DB?

I used an old Fishman Pro eq for a couple of years, worked well.You can pick them up pretty cheap these days.

I use a Tech 21 Acoustic DI with both my Bass Max/NS Cleveland and my Azola Bug, and it works very well with both. I find that the Sansamp circuitry tends to slightly compress the transients to minimize the annoying piezo "thonk". I believe this unit is designed for acoustic guitar, but it works well for bass...both electric and upright. It has the added mid control that the Bass Driver DI does not have. FWIW, I have also used that unit with good results on upright.
