Acoustic Rig

Hi

I've got some concrete questions about your Acoustic rig. I saw you with Beck and the bass sound was so sweet! I did a search but i think that questions are not covered.
I'm thinking to go for a really good deal on a 140 right now, but i have some doubts since i've never tried one. Maybe you can help me...

- You have two Acoustic heads, if i understood well the 140 is only used as a backup and the 370 is the main amp. From what i've been reading the main difference between those heads would be the wattage and the graphic EQ on 370.
Regarding tone, are very far or the 140 has a similar tone, just with less power? Graphic EQ on 370 makes a big difference?

- I guess they have a funky midrange, but how about the low end? Thinking about using it as a power amp too, for a Sansamp PSA-1 and only for certain kind of gigs...

- Take pedals well? Fav distortion device with Acoustic stuff?

- Cabinets. Are this amps too picky with the cabinet election? I guess the best combination would be an original 106 2x15 cab, but here in Europe are really hard to find. Do you know some similar option that could work? How about a 15" Ampeg USA classic series?

- Was the Acoustic the main rig sounding on Beck's live on ACL? Sounds awesome!

- Do you find this rig useful for recording tasks too? Was used on "Morning Phase" sessions ?

Thank you very much!!!

No, different circuit as well, as far as the preamp. There's an Acoustic Control Corporation discussion forum in which you can get more info.

The graphic I don't even use. The 140 has an even more sweet tone, in my opinion. Both quite loud.

Tons of lows. It's awesome.

Take pedals great. My Rusty Box distortion sounds great with it, probably one of my current faves.

You need speakers with small magnets, not super modern speakers. The more vintage-y Eminence 15" works pretty well, but old JBL, Altec, or CTS speakers work best.

Yes indeed, and thanks!

No, that was all my B-15R

Thank you very much!!!

Pleasure to help!
