Active humbucker to sound like single coil

Hi all,
I am looking at buying the Harley Benton BZ4000NT, which is a dual humbucker bass with an active eq. My question is whether the active eq on the bass will give a reasonable approximation of a p bass or jazz bass tone. If not I will go with a bass with a coil split like the Ibanez sr line to get more versatility.
All help would be greatly appreciated!

Soapbar is a shape. Inside that shape can be lots of different pickup architectures - single coil, split coil, dual coil, sidewinder, multi-coil... I can’t tell from a quick search exactly what’s inside those Harley Benton pickups.

If they are dual coil, then they probably won’t have the “snap” of a single coil. On the other hand, many dual coils can be split to a single coil.

In my reviews of Active humbuckers, I've found that they are not usually splittable.
Even EMG's "splittable" offering isn't really splitting, they're using a phantom-coil to control the noise.
