Hi, I have a simple question: if I'm going to use active pickups (which need a battery) with an active preamp, can I use the same pots as if I were using this same preamp with passive pickups?

You dn't really have another choice if you want any kind of EQ control. Why do you even want to use active pickups and an active preamp?

I have BassLines ASB-5 pickups right now, that I want to change. I ordered a pair of passive SGD pickups, but before I get them, I was wondering if I could try if my wiring is ok, with the current active pickups.
By the way line6man, have you read my other recent post regarding my wiring question (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=616646)?
Sorry, I don't know squat about Graphtech's piezo systems, so I really can't offer any info on what's going on with your wiring.
I would suggest that you finish wiring it up completely first, to see if that solves the issue.
Thanks, at least I know that it's not a common/stupid problem. It's been a long wait for my SGD pickups...

My order for some SGD sidewinders has been delayed as well. But they will be worth the wait.![]()
