It's the pickups themselves that won't fit. The pickup cavities on my bass are not the right size or shape for EMG pickups. I would have plenty of room for the pots/battery. That's not the problem. The problem is the size and shape of the pickups.

Sorry to revive an old thread but...
How come no one mentioned the Audere 3ZB? That's exactly what I wanted.
But, I already have something else in the works. Plus, the Audere would put me back about $200. So I might have had to wait a while before I could afford something like that.
