You and me both. I said that all the time at 15. I thought I was indestructible at that age and treated my body like it. I am 30 now, and after a life of "no regrets" I have found one. Oh my aching back. Every monring when I wake up. A few years of lugging heavy gear around and I am now doomed for life. Right on 15 and 17 yr old guys. Mess your body up too, join us in our wheelchairs.

Careful here. The Eminence Delta 12LF is indeed rated at 500W rms but that is not through the entire frequency spectrum and does not take cabinet design into account.

In the Avatar B212 cone excursion hits a peak between about 55 and 130hz which drops the power handling down to roughly 250 watts. I won't even get into what happens below 47hz.

Realistically I would say the Avatar B212 is a 500 Watt cab. That's not to say you can't run a 1000 watt power source into it, in fact I have, but the fact that cab design wasn't taken into account when rating them shouldn't be ignored.
