Adding an EMG DC to ray 34

Hi there everyone. I was wondering if routing into the body and adding an emg dc to my sterling ray 34 in addition to the existing pickup (closer to the neck) then adding a blend switch and an extra battery compartment would be practical/possible? If so, how would one go about this? I love my ray to death, but I think it would be super sweet to have that earthy emg sound at my disposal

EMG = Active Pickup Ray = Passive Pickup Not sure how you would blend the two and how it would work. Would at least need two volumes as they are different Ohms can't use a balance pot as I don't think there are stacked that will work but maybe there is. Would have to run 9 volts to EMG which is possible to run off battery compartment. Might be hard without buffers to match them but maybe this has been done with success but those are some hoops to jump or take into consideration when mapping out the electronic plans.
