I'd like to add block inlays to my Jazz 5. Unless at least a dozen experienced inlay folks tell me any moron could do it, I'd have it done. My question, per the title, is would I have to have it refretted at the same time?

no you wouldn't need a re-fret because the blocks don't interfere with frets, but a fret job couldn't hurt
Good luck leveling the inlays down with the frets in the way, it will be pretty time consuming that way.
That's what I figured, & time is one thing I have very little of(excessive TB activity notwithstanding..).
