Adding Effects to USB Recording

I've been recording with a Zoom B3 into a Tascam DP008 unit and then putting those WAV files into Audacity. I've been toying with the idea of getting a USB interface, but then I'd lose my effect options. I suppose the easiest answer is just to get a second B3 or the new B3n and put that between the bass and USB interface.....or is there an easier way?

You can use the b3 as a USB interface.

@AndreasR is exactly right. The Tascam unit is redundant in your current setup. Just route your B3 directly to your computer and assign it as an interface. Done.

If you're still going to get and use a USB interface for other things and would prefer to use that over your B3, you could just run one of the analog outputs on the B3 into the interface's input and track with your effects enabled.

How would you lose the effects options?

You could already be saving a step by going bass > B3 > USB output > computer with Audacity.

With a USB interface you'd just go bass > B3 > output to USB interface
