I know that TalkBass in general love the GZR pickups, and every demo I've heard sounds great. Now, I have an '87 MIJ Fender E Precision that I absolutely love, but sometimes I wonder if there is room for improvement in the sound. It is entirely possible that it is due to very old rounds (that I actually really don't want to change because the feel is so so good).
Does anyone know how these two types of pickups compare? Would it be an improvement? I've had a hard time finding information on the type of pickups that those 80s MIJ basses came with. Thank you!!
