Adonized gold pickguards

I just saw the new 50s Roadworn P and I think it looks cool, except for the pickguard.

I had a Nash, as well as an ancient 57 RI, and the Nash, to me also had a more realistic guard. More gold less obnoxious orange.

So anyone know where a guy can get a lightly adonized gold pickguard?

Hi.

Adonized? Do You mean anodized?

Not to be a spellin nazi, I do know that You US folks can't spell aluminium for example the way it was supposed to be spelled ;), but this just got me confused.

If You do mean anodized, there's tons of DIY links for anodizing aluminium with various degrees of success. Some are messier than others, but as the power source is usually either a car battery or a battery charger, it's quite easy and affordable to do and can be quite rewarding.
