Advice for unreliable amp

Number one , buy another amp and then contact EBS about servicing your amp . Is it worth the cost if you also have to ship ?

I'm a firm believer in redundant systems..."two is one and one is none". That being said, I'd love to catch the Reidmar in the described non-functioning state and do some some operational / functional diagnostics...and there is a methodology. Could be something really simple / stupid as suggested by others.

My worst two intermittent problems that caused everything from distortion to complete cut-outs turned out in one case to be a slightly bad/failing wire termination in an instrument cable and the other was the"less than $10 1/4 inch output jack" in a multi-thousand dollar bass. Never underestimate the ability of simple stuff to cause big problems.

Unless it's something obvious like the amplifier is on fire or the speaker in the cab just fell out on the floor, it's always a good idea (and usually cheaper) to do methodical troubleshooting that starts with the simple things. Of course that's just my experience, YMMV.
