advice needed - polishing a satin flame maple board

Hi all, just got my hands on a new usa g&l sb-2 bass, and now I'm looking at how to go about getting more of a shine from the satin finished, flame maple fretboard.. anyone got any ideas? I figured standard dunlop formula 65 polish might do the trick, but is there a better method to bringing out the flame on a maple board?

the ultimate way would be to get a brand new guitar polishing cloth and rub like crazy for ages.. or maybe some sort of electric buffer

remember if you use a dirty cloth you will stain the nice maple color

yeah I was planning on doing that, hitting the boardn with some polish and then using a bucketload of elbow grease till the wood sparkled.. worked on my birdseye sterling, figured flame might have other methods though.
