Aebersold Jazz question

I noticed that volume 3 now contains 2 CDs with additional material.

Did anything change in the actual book or did he just add extra tracks to play along to?

I've got an older version that only has the one CD, and that has something like 83 pages. If anyone has the newer version is it the same number of pages?

In the first edition there was a booklet inside with licks to play. I guess it must be the same here with the pdf supplement.

The nice thing about spinning Vinyl Aebersold recordings is that the inherent "wow and flutter.." of your turntable will replicate (most?) live drummers' imperfect TIME!!

Glad to see someone still uses this method. I have 6+ books on my shelf but have misplaced all the CDs. They served their purpose. Today I would use BIAB.

I've got a Bunch Aebersold stuff I bought about 15 years ago. Some of the CDs are misplaced though, like the ii V I volume 3 CD. I've always sucked at the jazz side of things and want to get better at it so I downloaded the volume 3 cd.

What's BIAB?

BIAB is Band in a Box. Give it a set of chord changes and a style and it will generate a full band accompaniment Push a button and change the key and tempo. Push another button and it will generate a solo in the style of several famous artists. Ear trainer, and lot of user groups with free. jazz stds.

My computer disk crashed and took my copy with it and I am far enough along I dont need it anymore.

Definitely worth checking out.
