Double Bass Affordable bass amp (head or combo) with two inputs?

Actually, I used my B-15 for upright very little, because the pickups available in the 1970's (Polytone and Barcus Berry) were very primitive. I tried them both out for a while, but the sound of those pickups simply wasn't any good. By the time the Underwood, Fishman, and Realist were available I'd moved to a Walter Woods or GK. Personally, I wouldn't go searching for either a B-15 or BT15 for that matter because they are vintage amplifiers with their own set of issues, ( the BT 15 was discontinued by Ampeg because there were reliability issues) The last B-15's were tube amplifiers.

The reliability issues the BT-15's had were from the very first batch made for NAMM '66. Those amps would overheat and blow up. They went back and re-worked them with new heat sinks and output capacitors, and that corrected the problem. Amps from '67 on should have the updates. My BT head is a '66 which was re-worked and it functions just fine.

Stiles 72,
That's good to know, unfortunately the whole BT line was discontinued in 1967 sometime after May when they dropped the BT 18 according to Ampeg: The Story Behind the Sound. I do see them every once and a while on ebay.
