I complete disagree. I have a very strong feeling that if the OP had posted what they originally intended it would have wound up being an awesome, or at least very entertaining thread. I think now you should post what you originally intended and let us decide whether or not it was a bad idea.

I got in just before the edit. And, OP, I completely disagree. Burst tort P basses with flats are NOT THE ugliest and dumbest basses of all time. I don't even know why you would say such a thing!
My first reaction was this it was a really bad idea, but the more I thought about it, I think it just might work.
