Well, if you don't want the TH and a power amp (which would be a killer rig. All connected in an easy to carry SKB 4 space), I would seriously try to find a Thunderfunk to try out.
I understand what people say when they describe the 750/751. They are killer heads. Great sound. But, I find that having the EQ of the Thunderfunk, allows me to get much closer to what I am looking for in various venues. Plus, lots of times, especially at festivals where you have to setup quick and start playing, having the Timbre and Enhance adjustment is really nice. My 750A and 550B are such great heads, I couldn't see being without them. Granted, I do play a lot of gigs with my Monique by Jule, but I will never part with my Thunderfunks!
It's a tough call. Both heads are great, you will have to compare everything (weight, cost, adaptability etc...) and make the best decision based on those factors.
