Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 cab pairing.

Hello everyone I have a quick question. I have a tone hammer 500 and looking to get a new cab to pair with it. I was looking at the Aguilar db 4x12. I didn't know if the tone hammer would be powerful enough to get the most out of the 4x12. I will be playing anywhere from 800 to 20000 cap venues. Any advice would be helpful.

The Tone Hammer 500 will rock out just fine with that 4-12 cabinet.

With venues that size, you're gonna have PA support, right? So whatever you have is just gonna be a monitor for you, so I would go with a pair of DB112 cabs.
You could also drive a 4x12 or 4x10 or a pair of 8 ohm 4x10s or pair of 2x10s.
Whatever you do, it will thump.

Glad you posted this, I just got my TH500 and have not had a chance to play it through my Genz 410T yet but from reading here I am considering maybe a 212 at 4 ohms to unlock the 500 watts. My Genz is 8 ohms so I will only get 250 out of it. I love the high end cabs like the Bergs, Baers, BBC, there are so many choices. I was just on youtube and they all sound great so I guess I will keep saving my money until I can afford one. Most cabs here on TB are local pickup only and I am in New Orleans and seems there are few TBers here in NO especially with good things for sale. I have checked CL and they have nothing either. There is a guy in CA selling 2 Aggie 212's at 300.00 each but shipping here would cost an extra 200.00 so I will probably just wait until I have the cash to buy something new because a lot of music stores ship free.

The TH500 is one amp that pairs up well with just about any cab. If try yr 410T out with it for a while 1st. You might find that it's plenty loud enough.

I've used the TH500 with my Berg NV412 lots and it kills. It's got plenty of juice to push it. PLENTY?

I've gone from using a Aguilar cab with my TH500 to a Berg CN212, and couldn't be happier. As the previous poster stated though, surely on gigs that big you have PA support? I'd be checking out Bergantino though.

You might not get the full power out of the cab but you're gonna get incredibly clean wattage from that amp, and it's gonna pump.

When I read the title I was thinking 2 DB212s.

I still think that is the better choice, but if modularity isn't a concern, then the 4x12 should SLAM!

A Berg CN212 is a stellar cab for the TH500. I have an Audiokinesis TC212 and I'm actually thinking of trading it in for a CN212.
