Aguilar Tone Hammer

Hey, thanks guys....I already have the DHA and the Sansamp and I can't even find a band to play in these days so I'd rather put my extra $$ going to Puerto Vallarta next spring....so JeffBonny....it's all yours.....thanks Torin.....appreciate you thinking of me first......

ps. had you said it was the head for $200 I might have gone for it anyway....ahhhhh....gassssssssss......

Thanks to both of you

I just played around for an hour with my Tone Hammer, which I got today, my 15/6 and Carvin HD1500 power amp. Got some great tones with the mid set at 180 and boosted to about 12:30 - 1:00, Treble at 11:00 and everything else flat. Sounded great and was quite powerful with the HD1500 bridged for 900w into the 15/6.

Looking forward to getting this rig out to rehearsals/gigs.

Jeff I PM'd you the contact info on the TH.

I moved too slow and missed it. Dang.
I did console myself today with a Sadowsky Pre/DI which really works well for me so far. I really wanna try the Tone Hammer though.

Louise, I've been freelancing around with a couple of blues bands and very occasionally in a duo with a singer/guitarist. I just joined a really fun rootsy kinda band called the Wonderful Diving Horses that should be gigging before christmas.

Its a pretty nice pedal. It is not nearly as coloured as the Tech 21 stuff and is much closer to 'neutral'. Still it does have its own voice and does warm things up somewhat. I really like the mid sweep. I am using it with a 7 band graphic eq pedal and feel I have everything covered. One thing I don't like too much so far is the AGS distortion, but I guess I need to spend more time with it. Also, at 2.4LBS it does have quite a bit of heft to it... alot more than other similar pedals.

Its definitely a pedal worth checking out if you can.
