am kinda new here, was registered and posting 4 years ago but kinda dropped out of playing bass and just played guitar. just picked up bass again since my little cousin's band needed a bass player. even after 4 years of barely playing any bass (sometimes i would play bass to help write but would probably pick it up only 3-4 times in a year) it was just like picking up where i left.
now my main bass is an ltd b-4e, it is georgeous and is string thru, neck thru has 2 humbuckers (active unfortunately
), 24 frets and a neck that is nicer than a gibson thunderbird. best of all it only cost me $770 here in Aus with case. my other 2 basses are 1 ****** ibanez soundgear bass (hate soundgears but seems a lot of people like em) and a 70's hagstrom eb-0 copy (is a project this one).
as for amp i got a 30 watt warwick practice combo (before you laugh it goes up to 12, which is one more than 11
). tho i am tempted to add a bass pre to my rack and use that (maybe an ada mb-1, got the mp-1) but then again my rack is in use already (as is my fender katana)
