AI content warning: six string mustang bass!

Interesting! I would think a shorter neck would do a better job of handling the string tension but 1 piece of flatsawn wood probably isn't enough. Can you share more about your short six? I'd love to see it! What's the string spacing? How does it sound? What string do you use?

It's a Manne Multi, it's a 31" scale. I think the string spacing is 17mm or thereabouts. It's a really neat bass, the pickup is in the P position, the fingerboard is just long. It sounds woody with thick low mids and really strong fundamentals. You get the muted overtones from the short scale but everything is still clear sounding. I'm not sure what strings I have on there right now, Galli I think.
