Double Bass AI Focus II - mic direct in or external preamp ?

Thought I'd raise this question in a new thread.

Any Focus II users care to report on their experience with mics into this amp? I'm wondering if it works better with an external preamp, or will it do just fine with the mic run straight into the Focus's XLR mic in ?

I use it for singing while playing with acoustic guitar , got reverb too...

and you run the vocal mic direct into the focus (i.e. no external preamp) with good results ?

Yes it is and even better with the effect
