All my students do this and it's amazing how much speed and accuracy you can develop in a short period.

I've had guys go from Jamerson to Jaco in 2 months by working on Alain's exercise every day.

Start VERY slow and focus on clarity. Make sure the accented notes are even and that your time is consistent.

He gives you everything you need to know right there in the article.

Good luck!

H Doubler,

thanks for the response..but the link you suggested has only text which refers to some notation/tab pictures that are not being displayed on the page..i tried from two different computers but no luck..

The page I linked you to gives detailed instructions.

Here's the low down

play 16ths

Accent ONE e and uh
then

one E and uh

then one e AND uh

then

one e and UH

cycling each one 4-8 times

the final version is like this

ONE e and uh- one E and uh- one e AND uh- one e and UH

Look around and you might be able to find a version with the sheet music, but you really have all you need now.
