Alembic tone from a D class

I guess I need to clarify that I was NOT expecting the Quilter to perform as well as the WW. I realize it is comparing apples and oranges; there was no disappointment in the Quilter on my part, it is a wonderful amplifier in its own right.

Ummm, isn't the WW Greenlight an SMPS amp that weighs about 12 pounds?

It weighs 7 lbs. I played WW amps for about 30 years and had just about every model including his 2200 watt(not a typo, only 5 made). Nice amps especially since they were the only micro amp for a long time and was a big reason why I used them, but I like the Quilter better for my taste.

Hmmm, I thought the Green Light was a little heavier?

Yes, he set the standard for SMPS amps at that time.

Wait a minute, you were making a snarky (and somewhat insulting) comment about a particular class of amp, yet the very class of amp you held up as an example of what you were being snarky about turns out to prove you wrong. I just pointed out that you proved yourself wrong. Sorry if you are offended.

What am I missing here?

I accept the appology. I don't know as much as you, I assumed something and was wrong.
Wasn't attempting snarkiness at all :)
