Alesis MidiVerb II / MidiVerb III ?

I have a non-critical PA project which requires the addition of an external FX processor with emphasis on delay & reverb. BTW, "non-critical" = I'm not gonna be OCD about this provided the final product is passable. I've been offered both an Alesis MidiVerb II and MidiVerb III and was wondering if either would be worth investigating.

Word of caution: any MidiVerb owners contributing to this thread may be subject to repeat PM's from your's truly as I install & adjust the component!

I'm no pro, but I have a Microverb IV in my rack and I use it for delay and reverb. They are certainly passable.
